A sheet of paper with the text "There is 1 kg C4 in the rear cargo hold" found the co-pilot in the front toilet half an hour after takeoff. The pilots passed the information to the dispatchers of the airport of destination Sanliurfa.
After landing in Şanlıurf, the aircraft was towed to a safe area. 142 people on board, including the crew, were evacuated.
At the scene worked explosive technicians, cynologists with dogs, special forces and employees of the Department of combating terrorism. No explosives were found.
