In early 2026, Turkey supplied Ukraine with a “small number” of anti-aircraft systems Korkut, reports the Middle East Eye (MEE), citing sources. According to them, Kiev used the received complexes for testing and strengthening air defense capabilities.
Korkut consists of three vehicles with weapons and one control machine. The complexes are designed to counter drones. The specific number of delivered complexes is not named. “Of course, there were some problems, but nothing that could not be overcome with small adjustments,” an unnamed Ukrainian official told Korkut.
According to the official, Ukraine is interested in additional purchases of Korkut, "if the price is acceptable." Ukrainian officials say many Turkish defense companies are cooperating with the Ukrainian Armed Forces to test their weapons and enhance the capabilities of their systems.
Since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian military conflict, Ankara has supplied Kiev with a “wide range” of defensive weapons, including Bayraktar TB2 drones, laser-guided missiles, artillery shells and machine guns. Bloomberg reported that the European Union and NATO demanded from Greece and Spain to transfer missiles to Ukraine.
