Belarusian diplomats and parliamentarians take part in observation of parliamentary elections in Russia
Diplomats of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia, as well as deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly as part of the CIS Observer Mission took part in the observation of the elections.

Diplomats of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia, as well as deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly as part of the CIS Observer Mission took part in monitoring the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation. The observers visited a number of sites in Moscow and the Moscow region, reports sb.by.

Coordinator of the delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly as part of the CIS Observer Mission, Chairman of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on Economic Policy Viktor Nikolaikin visited the polling station in the Tver district of the Russian capital on September 20. He got acquainted with the electoral process and spoke with other observers of the voting process.
- As part of the Mission, we are working on the elections for the third day, on September 20 in the morning we visited about ten polling stations, before that we worked in the Moscow region, the parliamentarian told reporters. According to Russian law, I have no right to assess the organization of the electoral process today, we will give it according to the results of today. Of course, no one interferes with us, everywhere we are welcomed, everything is told, everything is shown. In general, I want to say that the impression is good. We see that professionals work in the elections, they work really conscientiously and qualitatively.

He noted that electronic voting is actively used in elections in Russia, the voter has the opportunity to disconnect from the polling station and choose the place of voting depending on the actual location.
- At the same time, I want to note that, for example, the electronic voting function is used not only by young people. This, as confirmed by members of the election commissions, also attracts older people. Again, I see the responsible approach of citizens to the electoral process. We feel a really good mood. People come responsibly to fulfill their duty to the country in which they live. And everything is going well, on this, I would say, rise, concluded the coordinator of the delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly as part of the CIS Observer Mission.

Minister-Counselors of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia Daria Shmanai and Irina Akulovich, accredited as observers from the CIS mission, visited the site in the Central Administrative District of Moscow. They noted the calm nature of the electoral process and the activity of citizens voting for the new composition of the Parliament of the Russian Federation.
- Of course, the composition of the Federal Assembly is certainly important, but, in my opinion, it is much more important that the elections be held in a calm, organized and regular mode, Minister-Counselor Daria Shmanai told reporters. Today, we do not see any tension at the polling stations, we note that voters calmly and actively come to the polling stations. Today, on Sunday, we see a large number of observers. It seems to us that voters mostly vote on paper, but prefer traditional voting formats. And, of course, the situation at the polling stations, which we have been observing since Friday until today, shows that people perceive this election not just as an electoral procedure, but as their personal contribution to the future of Russia, as a manifestation of civic responsibility. As representatives of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation, the diplomatic corps will certainly work with any composition of the State Duma. But again, the current situation, which we are witnessing, the calm situation at the polling stations, the number of voters, in our opinion, shows that people support the political course of the country and show their confidence in the political institutions of the Russian Federation.
