The French Armed Forces carried out a test launch of a new nuclear missile, writes sb.by.

According to Agence France-Presse, the launch was carried out without a warhead from a submarine. This was reported by the Elysee Palace and the Ministry of the Armed Forces of the Republic.
The agency reports that French President Emmanuel Macron was present at the tests. He watched the launch from the French Navy frigate.
According to AFP, this is the third version of the strategic ballistic missile sea-based M51, adopted a year ago. The missile, not equipped with a nuclear warhead, fell in the North Atlantic Ocean, several hundred kilometers from the coast.
