Iran and Oman agree on safe corridors through Strait of Hormuz
Iran and Oman plan to notify the international body of the agreement reached between the two countries on the issue of safe corridors.

Iran and Oman plan to notify the international body soon about the agreement reached between the two countries on the issue of safe corridors for navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. This statement was made by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic Esmail Bagai, writes sb.by.

As TASS notes, Bagai pointed out:
- The competent international body will soon be notified of the agreement between Iran and Oman regarding safe corridors in the Strait of Hormuz. The consultations between Tehran and Muscat were successful, and the parties reached an agreement on the geographical coordinates of the safe corridors.
He was quoted by the IRNA news agency.
He added that Iran and Oman "have reached an understanding on the procedure for notifying the competent international body about this issue and the corresponding step will be taken in the near future." The Netherlands sent a frigate for possible deployment in the Strait of Hormuz
