Lithuania and Poland are going to demand in Brussels the revision of the EU pact on migration and asylum. This was stated at a joint press conference by the heads of the interior ministries of these countries Martinas Catelinas and Marcin Kervinski, writes sb.by.

“The migration pact does not respond to the current situation. This is evident not only in our region, but also in southern Europe. We [with Catelinas] are like-minded on this issue and believe that the pact should be revised to truly meet the needs of member countries.”.
Lithuania said that Vilnius, during its Presidency of the Council of the EU (starting on 1 January 2027), will raise the issue of revising the pact.
“I hope that serious decisions will be taken during our presidency that will change the face of European migration policy,” Catelinas said.
