According to BelTA, citing Lithuanian media, it is noted that at the Vanagas training ground of the Center for Defense Innovations, a platform has been created for testing drones, ground and water robots, as well as other military technologies in conditions close to real ones.
The test site is located in Pabrada on the basis of an existing military facility. The Lithuanian city of Pabrade is located just 15 km from the border with Belarus.
In May 2026, it was reported that a unit of Autonomous Remote Unmanned Operations was created in the Lithuanian Armed Forces to develop the potential of long-range drones. In Lithuania instructed to introduce a strict route of transit of cars of Russians through the country
