The Norwegian Nobel Committee has announced the winner of the 2026 Peace Prize. The award was awarded to Navi Pillay, a lawyer and figure in the field of human rights protection, a correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti news agency reports.

N. Pillay is a native of South Africa. From 2008 to 2014, she served as the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. She has also worked in various United Nations entities at other times.
