In the city of Lance, a 15-year-old boy lost a hand and part of his forearm after picking up a police grenade that exploded in his hand during school protests that have been going on nationwide.
Six months before the election of France's new president, Emmanuel Macron and his government, the far-right National Rally, led by presidential candidate Marine Le Pen, accused lawmakers and mayors of Invictus France (LFI) of fomenting protests. The LFI denies this allegation, the report said.
Speaking after a meeting with students in the northern suburbs of Paris, the country's education minister, Edouard Geffrey, said participation in the protests had begun to decline in recent days.
According to him, the government will launch a platform where students can express their discontent, and will launch the development of an action plan for individual schools.
