The party “Alternative for Germany” confidently won the elections to the Landtag (land parliament) of Saxony-Anhalt, receiving 43.8% of the vote. Such preliminary official results of voting were given by the regional electoral commission. On the air of the program “Editors Club” on the TV channel “Belarus 1” experts discussed why this happened, writes sb.by.

The presenter of the program, chairman of Belteleradiocompany Ivan Eismont confidently stated:
- Had it not been for the anomalous postal vote in favour of the CDU, it would have been well over 50%. They're masters of falsification. But the gap was so big that their goal was just to make less than 50%.
First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Belarus Vladimir Pertsov continued:
- It is unlikely to lead to a social explosion. If 3-4 years ago, the AfD was considered a marginal structure that tried to arrange some provocations, now they can do nothing about this phenomenon. According to the latest data of German sociology, 88 percent of the inhabitants of the entire Federal Republic of Germany consider the government of Friedrich Merz and his rule a failure. Not a bad one, but a failure. This is the result of the poor policies they are pursuing, including the use of sanctions, de-industrialization, the collapse of the economy, insanely expensive energy resources. In Germany, fuel costs 2 euros, in Poland - 7-8 zlotys, which is about the same. Where does that lead? The AfD will win more or less the same victories across all lands. Pandora's box is open. Most importantly, the AfD is a far-right party. Because of the wretched and incorrect migration policy that has existed in Germany since the time of Angela Merkel, who thoughtlessly allowed migrants there, they live only on benefits, commit crimes, do not want to work, irritate the German nation, which seems to be tolerant by smiles, but passions boil inside, which periodically results in protests, provocations. All this will lead to the fact that the ultra-right forces will come to power again. And that will lead to racial cleansing. We will return to the same period as before. It's history, it's spiraling. They are nationalists, and not just Hitler and the 1930s.
Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Shpakovsky drew attention to:
- The AfD has several wings. The party itself is quite loose. There are politicians in it who adequately relate to the idea of restoring relations with the Republic of Belarus. We've had these politicians. But they are not at the top of the party. The AfD has very strong ties with the entourage of US President Donald Trump with all the pros and cons that follow. So let's not be fascinated, so as not to be disappointed later. But for the current government of Germany this is a rather alarming signal. They will certainly try to use it to their advantage. That is, the success of the ultra-right is presented as a threat to democracy, in order to further tighten the screws inside the country. There's already a paradox. The AfD now enjoys the sympathy of at least a quarter of the German population. And this party is represented in the parliament and in almost all the Landtags, that is, regional parliaments. At the same time, it is officially declared extremist, and German special services are conducting operational development of this party in order to disintegrate it. How to understand this from the point of view of the law is unclear. For our part, we are ready to cooperate with those constructive politicians in the Alternative for Germany who demonstrate goodwill for this. But at the same time, we do not give any skeptic assessments and forecasts.
