School protests in France are turning into a national disaster. On the air of the program “Budni” on the YouTube channel “SBTV” and “Alfa Radio” Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Alexander Shpakovsky told why the actions are so fierce, writes sb.by. I am closely following developments in France. I have visited this country many times, so I can say that I understand the situation there. The security situation in France has been chronically difficult in recent years. The protests have once again demonstrated the inadequacy of the French economic and political model. Although France is the homeland, the ancestral homeland of the ideas of freedom, equality and fraternity, it still declares itself as a social state, nevertheless there are blatant social differentiation, inequality and the complete failure of the ideas of multiculturalism.

- They had two goals. The first was declared as economic: the revival of the economy, the need for additional workers. The second is political: for left-wing parties, these migrants were supposed to become the base electorate. But the idea of integrating these migrants, their second- or third-generation descendants, has completely failed. They feel like strangers, second-class people. And a significant part of the current protesters are from Africa, the Middle East and their descendants.
The MP drew attention to the unhealthy situation in the French education system:
- There are elite schools and schools for everyone else, where classrooms are crowded, there are not enough teachers, there are many problems. People are very sensitive to this class inequality. And when they take to the streets in such numbers, they are ready to risk their lives and health (after all, hundreds of people are injured from police violence, several thousand people have been arrested), we understand that they are brought to the brink. And in this situation, the protests get worse. The French government cannot suppress this protest activity by violent means. The protests are expanding, they have a social basis, and, according to French experts, the same situation is repeated, which was with the movement of “yellow vests”. Against this background, the actions of the French government, which is ready to discuss the situation with human rights anywhere, but not in its own country, are particularly hypocritical.
The speaker also drew attention to the double standards of the French authorities:
- Look now at France: its government is not ready to talk even about the basic question of leveling the educational system. Instead, they beat, arrest, humiliate and discriminate against minors. Human rights activists, as always, remain silent. After all, they speak when they are allowed by the intelligence services of Western countries, which created them.
The talk show “Budney” is released on weekdays in the morning on “Alpha Radio”. Each issue discusses the most relevant topics from the life of the country and the world. Political scientists, scientists, public figures and journalists of leading media participate in the discussions.
