American entrepreneur Elon Musk believes that it is necessary to abandon the term “artificial intelligence” and replace it with the term “superintelligence”. He was supported by US President Donald Trump, who said his administration considers anyone who uses the term “artificial intelligence” instead of “superintelligence” an enemy. On the air of the program “PRO ARMY” on “SBTV” military analyst Alexander Tikhansky speculated whether this is not a hint of weapons of mass destruction, writes sb.by.

There is a lot of noise surrounding these statements. Trump probably watched the Soviet cartoon about the yacht “Trouble”. There was this phrase: "What you call a yacht, so it will swim." As far as I know, programmers have a division of artificial intelligence: AGI, ASI. Trump reduces all these concepts to one and calls it superintelligence. In general, artificial intelligence provides technical capabilities for processing huge amounts of data and issuing solutions in seconds. AGI not only develops solutions and large amounts of data, but also writes programs. We are at this level in working with AI. ASI is called superintelligence because it can process data, make decisions, and learn by itself. This is something that is smarter than a person, the guest of the studio noted.

The military analyst continued:

- The entire American political establishment has a tendency to turn everything that humanity has created into war toys. The fission of the atom — the nuclear bomb, the Internet — immediately there are spyware, reconnaissance satellites and so on. Today, the biggest problem in the use of artificial intelligence in combat is moral, ethical and legal. These are neural network systems. They process huge layers of data and give out certain goals. But it is the person who decides whether to strike or not. And who is responsible for striking – a neural network or a person? Such issues have not been resolved today.
