As reported by TASS with reference to Kyodo, Japan is trying to draw conclusions from the situation in the United States and EU countries, which due to the low level of investment in the military industry in the previous period are now faced with a lack of appropriate production capacity. The Government of Japan intends, taking into account such experience, to create in advance the potential for long-term warfare on the basis of new military technologies, primarily unmanned.
Initially, the new structure for the centralized management of arms production will consist of 300 representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the economy, trade and industry, and employees of private corporations. By 2031, the staff will be increased to 600 people. In particular, it is planned to include representatives of leading trading corporations with extensive experience in concluding transactions abroad in the new structure.
It is also planned to establish arms exports through a single centralized mechanism for negotiations with foreign buyers. The relevant bills will be submitted to Parliament in the first half of 2027. The armed forces of the Republic of Korea have created a training ground for training AI
