According to TASS, Trump said:

- I am pleased to announce that the United States has entered into an agreement with the Kingdom of Denmark and Greenland whereby the United States has permanent control over the security and other needs of Greenland, thereby fully satisfying all of the many concerns of the United States. It will cost the United States nothing.

The agreement, he said, “will ensure that the U.S. is forever fully able to do whatever is necessary in Greenland to ensure the safety and security of Greenland and the United States.”
