The decline of the Chancellor has already begun. In the AfD predicted the resignation of Merz before the end of the year
Co-chairman of the regional branch of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) in Mecklenburg-Vorpomerania and the party’s candidate for the post of Prime Minister.

Co-chairman of the regional branch of “Alternative for Germany” (AfD) in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the party’s candidate for the post of Prime Minister of the state Leif-Erik Holm predicted the imminent departure of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU) from office. It's from sb.by.

According to TASS, Leif-Erik Holm stated that he had repeatedly warned: The CDU must preserve the status of the main people’s party, otherwise it can be lost:
- Now this status has been lost at all levels, and our region has clearly shown that the party gained only 4.9 percent.
He regarded the results of the vote as “a truly crushing signal for the CDU” and expressed confidence that Merz’s powers would not last until the end of the year:
- I believe that the "Decline of the Chancellor" has already begun. You will soon see for yourself, especially when the CDU federal government meets.
Elections to the Mecklenburg-Vorpomerania Landtag and the Berlin Chamber of Deputies were held on September 20. According to preliminary official data, in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the AfD leads with a score of 38.2% of the vote. In second place is the SPD (35.5%). The result of the CDU – 4.9% – was the lowest in the history of the party’s participation in the state elections in Germany.
"Backed by the rise of the right." The EU is concerned about the situation of Merz after the regional elections in Germany
