Greek fishermen are holding protests in the ports of Piraeus and Thessaloniki over rising fuel prices and some other issues threatening the industry. It's from sb.by.

As reported by TASS with reference to the Greek TV channel ERT-news, fishermen blocked the entrance gate E1 in the port of Piraeus, demanding a reduction in fuel prices and the immediate launch of the recycling program of old ships with the payment of fair compensation. Protesters say the cost of fuel for ships has more than doubled in recent years. In addition, seafarers are facing financial damage, which they say is causing a significant increase in dolphin populations damaging their equipment.
The sailors said they had been on an indefinite strike since October 1, demanding immediate action from the state, and requested a meeting with Greek Shipping and Island Policy Minister Vasilis Kikilias.
In Madrid, about 70,000 people joined the protest because of the housing crisis
