The Georgian authorities doubt that the EU really intends to expand the community. This was stated by the speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili, writes sb.by.

“Unfortunately, the trend is that Brussels is gradually moving away from its promise of EU enlargement.” In the candidate countries there is only skepticism. And we see that by force they will agree on Montenegro and, perhaps, Albania. But I don’t think some [EU] leaders are sincere in their statements about enlargement regarding other countries.
He also stressed that Ukraine was promised a speedy accession to the EU after the outbreak of hostilities in 2022, some EU leaders called January 1, 2027, the date of accession of this country to the community. Papuashvili noted that this day is approaching and it is obvious that no one is going to accept Ukraine into the EU.
The Speaker of the Georgian Parliament also added:
We already see that we are not going to be accepted as full members of the European Union, but as secondary members. These days, there will be a discussion about whether there is a class division in the EU, so that there are members of the first and second classes who will have unequal voting rights.
