In Lithuania instructed to introduce a strict transit route of cars of Russians
Lithuanian Interior Minister Martinas Katelinas said he had ordered the introduction of a strict transit route for cars of Russian citizens through the territory of Lithuania.

Lithuanian Interior Minister Martinas Katelinas said that he had ordered the introduction of a strict route for the transit of cars of Russian citizens through the territory of the republic and ensure control over its observance. It's reported by sb.by.

According to TASS, the head of the department said: “I have been instructed to introduce with control the procedure for following Russian citizens’ vehicles through the territory of Lithuania along a strictly defined route without any deviations from it.”.
According to the Minister, this procedure should be introduced for reasons of national security. Martinas Katelinas does not consider alternative control initiatives with the proposal to reduce the time to cross Lithuanian territory from 24 hours to 6 hours productive.
According to the State Border Guard Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Lithuania, in 2026 13,000 cars registered in Russia passed through Lithuania on simplified transit documents. Lithuania will not provide legal protection to Ukrainian citizens
