In London there was a massive power outage
The failure in the underground network left without light East and North London. At Liverpool Street station, the scoreboards went out, the trains stopped.

In the British capital there was a large-scale power outage caused by a malfunction of the underground network. This is reported by the newspaper The Telegraph, citing the energy company UKPN.
Due to the failure, the eastern and northern areas of London, as well as the City, were left without light. In total, more than five thousand subscribers lost electricity. UKPN advised residents to stock up on flashlights and batteries.
The shutdown caused a traffic collapse. At Liverpool Street station – one of the busiest in the UK – all the information boards went out, causing chaos at the station. On social media there were pictures of confused passengers wandering in the dark. The lights also disappeared at a number of other stations, for example, on Essex Road completely stopped the movement of trains.
In addition, traffic lights and video surveillance systems were disrupted in the city, offices in central London and many businesses were left without power supply.
The power supply has now been fully restored.
