Myanmar law enforcement agencies cracked down on a fraudulent syndicate and detained 87 people. It's from sb.by.

As TASS notes with reference to the newspaper The Global New Light of Myanmar, the raid took place in the east of the country in the state of Shan in the administrative center of Hopong. Among those arrested are 75 Chinese citizens who illegally crossed the state border of Myanmar, and 12 local residents. They are suspected of phone fraud and organizing online gambling in a hidden tent camp. During the searches, law enforcement officers seized 524 mobile phones, several dozen computers and laptops, 4 Starlink satellite terminals.
The intruders’ camp will be dismantled and all detainees will be brought to justice in accordance with current legislation. The Myanmar government views the fight against transnational cybercriminals as a national challenge. In late 2025, Myanmar authorities demolished more than 500 buildings on the territory of a large fraudulent call center KK Park in Karen state, near the city of Myawadi.
Over the past year and a half, Myanmar has deported 13,500 foreigners who entered the country illegally and were involved in online fraud and gambling activities.
