School security will be tightened in Poland after three knife attacks in four days

In Poland, a large-scale operation was launched to ensure safety in schools after three knife attacks. More than 20 thousand police officers will be sent to educational institutions, the correspondent of the "Minsk-news" agency reports.

According to Reuters, the country's authorities have denied rumors that the attacks are linked to a trend on the Internet or an organized group, but Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a crisis meeting that the glorification of violence on the Internet has a detrimental effect on young people. He named the main reasons for the content with the propaganda of Nazism and the cult of power, as well as violent computer games.

Since October 9, local police have checked 80 thousand educational institutions and detained 135 people. In one case, a boy created a model of his school in a Roblox video game and simulated attacks on students. He was found with firearms, ammunition and knives.

The last attack occurred on October 10 at a school in Warsaw — three people were injured. This is the third knife attack at an educational institution in four days.
