Speaker of the Polish Parliament Wlodzimierz Chajasty noted that there is no reason to be sure of the emergence of a permanent US military base in Poland. Now the US military is in the country on a rotational basis, and Warsaw is negotiating with Washington to consolidate their presence on a permanent basis.

According to RIA Novosti, Vlodzimierz Chazhasty noted that the United States is important for Poland, NATO is also important. He added that he would believe in the base as soon as it was created, but could not predict the decisions of the current US authorities: “I do not know whether this base will exist.”.
At the same time, Chazhasty believes that the increase in the US military presence in the country is beneficial for Poland: in his opinion, the more American troops will be deployed on Polish territory, the more stable the situation will be. The politician also noted that the permanent deployment of troops will allow the military to stay in Poland with their families. The main task of the Polish elites is to define a strategic goal that meets the national interests and consistently implement it.
In early June, Poland officially proposed to the United States to create a permanent military base on its territory. Last week, Trump announced significant progress in the issue of deploying a base of American ground forces in Poland and admitted that a decision on the location of its deployment could be announced in the near future. Warsaw has proposed at least five possible locations for permanent military bases.
