Three people have been rescued from the rubble after a seven-story building partially collapsed in Istanbul, Turkey. The work of rescuers at the place of emergency continues, there is an evacuation of residents, writes sb.by.
As TASS notes with reference to the NTV channel, among the rescued is a 14-year-old minor. All victims were hospitalized, their condition is satisfactory. In total, 33 residents are registered in the house, according to municipal services. How many people were in the house at the time of the collapse is now unknown.
The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Anatolian part of Istanbul began an investigation into the circumstances of the emergency.
The collapse occurred at about 05:40 local time (coincides with Minsk). - Editor's note) in the Jevizli quarter of Maltepe district. Three floors collapsed on one side of the seven-story building. On the lower floors are a textile workshop and commercial shops, which were closed at the time of the collapse.
The exact number of people under the rubble is not yet known. Numerous teams of rescuers and medics are working on the site, residents are being evacuated, blocked on the upper floors and from the remaining whole part of the building.
