According to RIA Novosti, The Washington Post, citing local officials, noted:

A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent shot and wounded a man in Austin on Sunday. The man is in stable but serious condition after being injured in the torso area. He's hospitalized.

It is reported that ICE has not yet commented, and local authorities did not provide details, indicating that all information is preliminary. As a result, it is not yet known whether the victim was a target in the operation of American security forces.

Austin Mayor Kirk Watson said he was "very angry" about the incident and demanded that state and city law enforcement agencies have access to the investigation "as an impartial third party.".
