In the talk show “Alone with Borovik” discussed why artificial intelligence has become a dual-use technology
Political observer of “SB. Belarus today” Polina Konoga and political scientist Vadim Borovik on the air of the program “Alone with Borovik” on “SBTV” discussed the issue of the issue.

Polina Konoga, a political columnist of SB. Belarus Today, and political scientist Vadim Borovik, on the air of the program “Alone with Borovik” at SBTV, discussed the rapid development of technologies and shared their views on where the development of artificial intelligence leads, writes sb.by.
Polina Konoga recalled the signing by US President Donald Trump of a decree renaming the term “artificial intelligence” to “superintelligence” and the creation of the Superintelligence Forces – a new state structure headed by four senior US officials, including the Director of National Intelligence and the head of the Federal Trade Commission.
- This structure will coordinate the work of the federal government in the field of superintelligence, as well as the interaction of authorities with consumers, community groups, religious organizations, everyone who is somehow associated with AI. We know that Trump is a really big fan of this technology and one of those leaders who say that it is impossible to restrain the development of artificial intelligence, on the contrary, it is necessary to support it in every possible way and create conditions for development.

Vadim Borovik noted that the United States pays great attention to this aspect. In his opinion, the involvement of military leaders and special services indicates the military nature of the developments.
- These are dual-use products. First of all, issues of national security and intelligence, including financial, he said. What are the components of artificial intelligence? The first is access to electricity, its volume. The second is the infrastructure of networks, the presence of powerful substations and lines. The third is computing power.
Vadim Borovik noted that through provocations, the United States purposefully restrains the technological potential of Europe, Russia and China. Creating groundwork in space and advanced algorithms, they seek to build a new system of managing the global economy, hoping in the future to completely level even the strategic nuclear potential of geopolitical opponents.
