Russian jazz saxophonist and composer Alexei Kozlov has died at the age of 90

Russian jazz saxophonist, composer, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Alexei Kozlov died at the age of 91. This is reported by sb.by.

According to TASS , the press service of the club Alexei Kozlov said:

— Alexey Kozlov, a legend of Russian jazz, has passed away.

They also added that he died after a short illness surrounded by his family:

— Alexey Semenovich died with his family, after a short illness. It happened about an hour ago.

According to a close friend of the artist, musician Igor Sandler, Kozlov did not go the last years of his life:

— That year, when we celebrated his 90th birthday, he could not walk, we brought him in a wheelchair. His club had an amazing concert, and at the end of the concert he even sang, rapped. People had tears. The first female cameraman in the history of the film studio "Belarusfilm" has died
