Venezuela has developed and implemented a plan to eradicate hunger in the country. This was stated by the representative of the President of the Bolivarian Republic Delcy Rodriguez at the plenary session of the World Food Forum (World Food Forum 2026) of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Rome.

According to TASS, Delcy Rodriguez said:
- From this podium, I want to announce the launch of the “Venezuela Feeds” plan to bring together all food production processes to achieve the ultimate goal of ending hunger.
She noted that Venezuela participates in the forum “with the deep conviction that the right to food is an inalienable right directly related to the life, dignity and full development of human beings”.
Ensuring the right of citizens to food requires inclusive and consistent state policy, as well as investment, financing, development of production, science, technology and cooperation. The United States reported that Venezuela will be able to produce more than 1.5 million barrels of oil per day in 2027
