Tesla introduced a new version of the electric sports car Roadster, equipped with engines from SpaceX. The presentation took place at a test site in Texas.

During the demonstration, the car vertically rose into the air, made a coup over a number of parked Teslas and landed on the wheels.

According to the head of Tesla Elon Musk, the Roadster will be able to accelerate to 100 km / h in less than a second thanks to additional engines. The maximum speed will be about 370 km / h. Production of the sports car is planned to begin in 2028. Initially, Tesla promised to start deliveries in 2020, but repeatedly postponed the release date.

Musk evaded the question of whether the car could be suitable for driving on public roads. "It depends on the particular street, but it will be a perfectly viable car," he said.
