As a result of the energy crisis, oil companies faced new challenges, due to which the priority of development shifted to ensuring business strength. This statement was made by the head of “Gazprom Neft” Alexander Dyukov during the plenary session at the forum “Russian energy week — 2026”, reports TASS.

Among the new challenges, the head of Gazprom Neft called physical blows to production facilities, problems with logistics, reduced reliability and blockade of traditional supply routes.

“Financial efficiency is already becoming a priority for oil companies. When it comes to financial efficiency, it is important to remember, but the logic of oil companies’ behavior is changing. Oil companies must already live in the logic of sustainability, in the logic of strength, in the logic of creating such an additional reserve of physical strength, Dyukov said.
