Chepetsk lyceumists discussed the benefits of reading with Maria Kozhevnikova

Within the walls of the educational institution for children, a meeting was organized with the famous actress of theater, cinema and television, public figure and lecturer of the Russian Society “Knowledge” Maria Kozhevnikova.

The event was held within the framework of the all-Russian project “Reading programs”.

During the conversation with lyceumists, Maria Kozhevnikova dwelled in detail on the importance of artistic works for the formation of character and professional self-determination.

The actress shared her personal reading experience and said that the first favorite book of her childhood was the fairy tale “Scarlet Flower”. At the same time, a special place in her reading biography was taken by Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy.

The guest drew the attention of schoolchildren to the fact that literature should not be perceived only as a source of dry facts or a burdensome duty. In her opinion, thoughtful reading is an important practical tool for making key decisions and a powerful resource for comprehensive human growth.

Separately, the speaker highlighted the benefits of systematic reading in modern realities.

The actress explained to teenagers that regular acquaintance with books helps to cope with colossal information overload, hones the skill of critical thinking and forms the ability to draw independent conclusions in the flow of contradictory data.
