At the site of the NAO ECC, the presentation of the first offspring of the project of the Association of Nenets People "Yasavei" - a set of books for children "Tyko History" was held. The project is the winner of the district grant competition among socially oriented non-profit organizations operating in the field of culture. It is dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Ilya Konstantinovich (Tyko) Vylka.
The set of books consists of a panorama book and coloring books with tasks, illustrations for which were created by artist Nina Novitskaya, and adapted texts by Elena Vergunova and Nadezhda Chuprova. The texts are based on the diary entries of Ilya Konstantinovich. The circulation is quite small – only 250 copies of each book, but it is enough to distribute to all libraries in the region. The books aroused great interest among the presentation participants, the idea was made to issue an additional circulation.
President of Yasavei Natalia Latysheva spoke about the goals of publishing books - to create a story for young residents of the district about one of the famous countrymen in a language they understand. Natalia Fedorovna thanked the project partners – ECC, the Museum Association, the Pichkov National Central Bank, the Children’s School of Arts, the regional branch of the All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Geographical Society”, noting that the project turned out to be interethnic and multicultural.
The project will continue on October 24 with the children’s ethno-holiday “Around the New Land with Tyko”. Subsequently, these books will be published for download on the website of the NAO ECC, a methodological set of materials will appear for the organizers of extracurricular work and useful leisure: here you can find all the materials on conducting educational sites dedicated to Tyko Vilka and his small homeland - Novaya Zemlya.
