Krasnodar entered the three leaders of the vote for the title of the cultural capital of Russia

Krasnodar was among the three leaders of the popular vote for the title of “Cultural Capital of 2028”. It is possible to support the city on the portal "State Services" until November 30, the press service of the Krasnodar administration reported.

The regional capital was one of the eight finalists of the competition. Vladikavkaz, Vladimir, Vologda, Gatchina, Kaluga, Kemerovo and Tula also compete for the title.

The results of the competition will be announced on December 23 in Moscow. The city that will receive the most votes at the State Services will earn additional points to the expert assessment.

The contest “Cultural Capital of the Year” has been held annually since 2023. Its purpose is to stimulate the development of cities and support initiatives in the field of creative economy. Finalists prepare applications for public defense of their projects.
