Kursk Governor visited the feast in the Medvensky district

The feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos Governor of the Kursk region Alexander Khinstein held in the village of Lubitskoe of the Medvensky district, where this day is especially honored. Together with the parishioners, he visited the liturgy of Metropolitan Herman of Kursk and Rylsky.

The head of the region said: two years ago, the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God was consecrated after restoration, and the church found a second life. This holiday has added another important page - with the blessing of Bishop Herman consecrated the parish "House of Good". In a three-story building with a refectory, Sunday School will also work. On weekends, young clergymen from Kursk will come here and study with children.

The governor called the Pokrovsky temple in Lubitsky strong, bright and prayerful. Built in 1848, it has gone through nearly two centuries of history, trials, silence, and prayer – and is living a full life again today.

And not only lives, but blooms. All thanks to the concern of a native of the Medvensky district, honorary citizen of the Kursk region Gennady Dyumin. He took this place under his wing, and it literally came to life. The parish turned out not rural, but provincial and even metropolitan level - one of the centers of spiritual attraction of the entire Kursk land.

Hinstein stressed that it is about such places that people say “there is a soul”. On the feast of the Intercession, you feel especially acutely how important it is to preserve them - as an anchor holding them in a storm, and as a thread connecting generations.

The governor wished the shrine prosperity, and the "House of Good" - to become a home where everyone has room and where children are taught good deeds. He congratulated everyone on the feast and wished that the veil of the Virgin be over every house, bringing warmth, peace and peace to the hearts.
