Marathon continues
In Astana, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Kyrykbayev, a meeting on the implementation of the republican marathon “Kitap Okityn Ult” was held
It is held under the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On measures to develop the culture of reading and the formation of a reading nation”.
The meeting discussed interim results and further measures to popularize reading.
A single list of 345 literary works in Kazakh and Russian languages was formed.
Today, more than 1.4 million people are involved in the project. These are schoolchildren, students, teachers, families, representatives of labor collectives, civil servants and creative intelligentsia. There are project offices and a digital platform reading-nation.kz (here participants publish reviews about books read). In terms of their number, Aktobe region is the leader - 25,557 reviews, North Kazakhstan - 14,249 and Kyzylorda - 14,037.
In social networks published more than 20 thousand video reviews of read works.
Special attention is now paid to the development of reading culture in rural areas, expanding access to literature and attracting public figures, business representatives and creative intelligentsia.
