Morev congratulated on the anniversary of the founder of the school of folk crafts Burchevsky
Honorary citizen of Arkhangelsk Vladimir Nikolaevich Burchevsky turned 80 years old

Honorary citizen of Arkhangelsk Vladimir Nikolaevich Burchevsky turned 80 years old. About it in social networks said the head of Arkhangelsk Dmitry Morev.
“Vladimir Nikolaevich is a citizen in the full sense of the word: he not only lives in Arkhangelsk, he serves him all his life,” Morev said.
The professional path of Burchevsky began with work as a ship carpenter on the steamer Pravda. Later he created the country's first children's workshop of decorative and applied creativity. He traveled to villages and collected the secrets of masters to keep the crafts of the Russian North from fading away, and then founded the Children's School of Folk Crafts, which the Arkhangelsk people call the Burchevsky School.
Now in school more than 450 children are trained in wood carving, northern embroidery, birch bark weaving and other techniques. The approaches laid down by the founder remain relevant.
Dmitry Morev thanked Vladimir Burchevsky for his asceticism and wished him good health and prosperity.
