We hear these songs from the cradle. Who performed at the concert “People’s Soul”

Russian and Belarusian folk groups performed at the Soul of the People concert during the Soul Festival at the venue near the Sports Palace on October 17, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

Among the speakers are the winners of the Grand Prix of the contest “People’s Soul” vocal team “Veleya Cossack”.

- Folk music is gaining momentum. We see this from the performances of famous pop artists, for example, Polina Gagarina. I think that this is the future, because folklore is the soul of the people, said the head of the ensemble Marina Dudarchik. To achieve mastery, you need to work hard. Therefore, after the festival we are waiting for fruitful rehearsals and subsequent concerts. I think professionalism among musicians is manifested in pure singing, dramaturgy and choreography.

In the dreams of the Vilei ensemble to perform with the "Kuban Cossack Choir" - the only professional folk collective in Russia, which has a continuous continuity of history since the beginning of the XIX century.

- We hear folk songs from the cradle, their mother sings them to us, putting us to sleep at night, adding something folk to lulling melodies. Children grow up and stop listening. It is not necessary to impose folk, but love for it can be developed. If you do not like the first time, then the second, the third person will definitely be imbued with these songs, said the member of the ensemble Andrei Dudarchik. — Previously, popular demonstrations were “estradiated”, and now the stage is “popularized”. We have Vaenga in our repertoire, Zara. They do not even know what amazing folklore compositions are derived from their works.

During the festival, the team shot a trending video with the popular Russian singer Prokhor Chaliapin on his quote “I was not created for work.”.

He spoke to the audience and the ensemble “Byaseda”. The participants presented a new reading of the hit “Bulba dance”.

- We are thrilled that the modern arrangement adds even more energy to our performance. Some people may say that folk is not fashionable, but I want to note that fashion is folk. It is doubly pleasant to see people of all ages at the concert. Folklore creativity is passed down from generation to generation. We are very glad to meet our Belarusian colleagues, stars from Russia, unfortunately, we rarely see each other, so thank you very much to the organizers of the festival, said Tatyana Lazovskaya, soloist of the folk collective “Byaseda”.

The guests from the Russian Federation were the Balagan Limited group. In their repertoire they included the songs “Burn, burn clearly”, “Vasya-Vasilek”, “Ring”, “What I have done”.

- We are always welcomed with flowers, pies, with a smile on our face. No matter who visited here, everyone is impressed by the cleanliness of the Belarusian streets. We have already done a collaboration with the group “Drushes”, sang the song “Draniki”. And we want to continue to cooperate with Belarusian performers, shared the soloist of the group Svetlana Smirnova.

Unfortunately, the headliner of the evening disco, the group “Brilliant”, could not fly to Minsk. On social media, the singers apologized to the audience. They noted that they very much hope for an early meeting with the Minsk residents.

Many performers have concert failures. Flight cancellations, sickness of participants and other unpleasant situations. The band “Balagan Limited”, which will replace the performance of “Brilliant”, shared a story from their practice.

- I remember how we performed in Chelyabinsk and had to fly to the next concert in Moscow. But they couldn't fly all day. We decided to go by car, time allowed. The bus could not be ordered, but there was another option - car sharing. The road was not easy, they traveled from Chelyabinsk to Ufa, from Ufa to Kazan and from Kazan to Moscow, Svetlana Smirnova added.
