People's performer of Tuvan throat singing Igor Koshkendey became the winner of the prize "Pride of the Nation - 2026"

People’s Khomeizhi of the Republic of Tyva, Director of the Center for Tuvan Traditional Culture and Crafts Igor Koshkendey became the winner of the interregional stage of the VII All-Russian public award “Pride of the Nation – 2026”. He was awarded a high award in the nomination “Service to the unity of the peoples of Russia”.

The award ceremony was held in Novosibirsk. The prize was presented to Igor Koshkendey by the Vice-Governor of the Novosibirsk region Valentina Dudnikova.

Winning the prestigious award is a recognition of the long-term work of the master in preserving and popularizing Tuvan culture. Igor Koshkendey’s contribution to the development of ethnocultural diversity and the strengthening of interethnic harmony was highly appreciated at the national level. With the achievement, the colleague was congratulated by the Minister of Culture of Tuva Viktor Chigjit.

The Pride of the Nation Award is awarded for personal contribution to ethno-cultural development and strengthening of the unity of the peoples of Russia. Its goal is to support civil society institutions working in the field of national relations, stimulate volunteer movement and motivate citizens to participate in the preservation of ethno-cultural heritage and strengthening interethnic harmony in the country.
