The first channel will show the traditions of the celebration of the Intercession in the Vologda region

This Saturday, October 17, on the First channel will air the next issue of the documentary series about travel “I want a holiday”. This time the hosts will tell about the feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God. The issue was shot in the architectural and ethnographic museum "Semenkovo" near Vologda. Transmission will start at 10:15.

Spectators will see how the presenters learn to conopathize the Russian hut, process flax, conduct the ceremony of “burial of flies”. They will also go to the Pokrovsky Fair. In the evening, they are waiting for girl gatherings with songs, games and needlework. The issue will introduce folk songs and sayings, traditions of the holiday.
