The parishioners made a traditional procession around the village of Volzhsky

In Kostroma, an annual prayer procession was held, timed to the great feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God. The traditional procession has been held for 16 years. Last Sunday he again united the clergy and laity.

The column of believers, headed by the clergy of the Savior-Zaprudnensky church and the rector of the church of St. Sergius of Radonezh, began its journey with a water-holy prayer service near the Volga orphanage. Participants of the procession with icons and banners passed through the streets of the village, prayerfully sprinkling the surroundings and residential houses with holy water.

According to the organizers, this event has not only spiritual, but also social meaning, uniting the residents of Kostroma and the Volga village with a common prayer for the welfare and intercession of the Queen of Heaven.
