“The most important thing in the song is the soul”: the concert of chanson gathered fans of the genre in the Palace of Sports

Nine performers performed in front of Minsk residents at the concert “Star chanson” in the Palace of Sports, the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti” reports.

The concert began Russian singer chanson Evgeny Kemerovosky. Among the compositions are “Here and hello”, “I miss you”, “Not yet autumn” and others.

- For 15 years I have been performing with the accordion duo RENIX. We started with the Unknown Ferry. I think this song is still one of the best in my repertoire. Speaking of Belarusian performers, in the 1990s we worked together with Solodoukha. But in Belarus, the pop and folklore direction is more developed. In Soviet times, Sineokaya was famous for such ensembles as "Songs", "Syabry", "Verasy". But thanks to the Soul Festival, chanson is gaining popularity in the country. For this genre, melody and text are important, which is sometimes lacking in modern compositions, Kemerovosky said.

The performer Sergey Slavyansky is known for a large number of tours. He performs not only in large venues, but also in a chamber atmosphere.

99% of my songs are dedicated to the beautiful half of our humanity. Especially in the Year of the Belarusian woman, I could not sing any other songs. Of course, young people now listen to modern hits. But our boys and girls grow up, grow wiser, they have children, grandchildren. I want to listen to songs with meaning and soul. I believe that chanson will live forever. Belarusians are very soulful people themselves, so they welcome me with great joy, both in Minsk and in the outback, where there is always a special atmosphere of warmth and comfort, the singer said.

It is not the first year at the festival performs singer Victoria Aleshko. She is a bright representative of fashion chanson. Some consider her a pop singer, but, despite this, the singer relates himself to chanson.

- We definitely needed such a project, because tickets for chanson concerts are sold out the fastest. As much as we love classical music, pop songs, when we get in the car, we immediately want to turn on the chanson. As far as my songs are concerned, each one makes a lot of sense. And even if there are fashion arrangements in my repertoire, they still carry a good old-fashioned mood. After all, the most important thing in the song is the soul, the singer shared.

The famous composition “Vladimir Central” on the words of Mikhail Krug was performed by singer Yuri Kuznetsov-Tazhny.
