About 10 original films in each section of non-core competition programs will be presented at the XXXII Minsk International Festival Listapad. This was told to journalists on October 15 by the program director of the young film Polina Artyukovskaya, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.
From good stories to social issues
- The young films will showcase 11 films from countries such as Germany, Argentina, Portugal, Myanmar, China, India and Russia. Despite the fact that the authors from different countries, while working on the tapes, they studied the same question - the search for their life path. And everyone showed it in their own way. Someone through a criminal drama, another through acute social problems. The youngest director is 25 years old, Artyukovsky said.

According to the already established tradition, along with Listapadam, the children's film festival Listapadzik will declare itself. Films of this competition program will be shown in the Pioneer cinema.
- The grand opening will take place on October 31. We have scheduled the closure for November 4. We selected 10 films. Of these, two animated feature films and eight feature films. Belarus will be represented by Elena Turova with the painting “Top”. Geography is quite extensive: from Mexico and Finland to Turkey and Kazakhstan. The themes range from a kind children's fairy tale to burning serious themes that reflect our lives. The main assessment of the works will be delivered by children, said Ekaterina Tamkovic-Latuto, program director of the competition for children and youth audience “Listapadzik”.

Short meter
The short film competition debuted last year. It was organized to support small cinematic forms.
- During one session, viewers will be able to see two films at once. A total of 10 paintings are planned. They will be shown in the Moscow cinema. In addition to traditional films from Russia, China, Iran, India, participants from Canada, Vietnam, Thailand and Spain joined. The uniqueness of short films, unlike feature films, is that they are difficult to find on the Internet, so they become more valuable, said Olga Kotova, program director of the short film competition.
