Smolyans sent almost 800 works to the photo contest “Russian Civilization”
Applications for the anniversary X International Photo Contest “Russian Civilization” have been accepted in Russia
In Russia, the acceptance of applications for the anniversary X International Photo Contest “Russian Civilization” has been completed. Smolensk region confirmed the status of one of the most active regions: 306 local residents sent 786 works to the competition. For comparison, the countrymen sent 630 photos last year and took the second place in the number of applications among all regions of the country.
In total, more than 49 thousand people from all over Russia and abroad took part in the competition, who uploaded more than 149 thousand pictures. The most popular nomination was Unique Nature, whose participants showed landscapes and wild flora and fauna. The pictures also capture the historical and cultural wealth of Russia.
The jury has now begun to evaluate the images. The winners of the first three places in each nomination, the winner of the Grand Prix, will be determined, and voting for the Audience Award is already open on the contest website.
The awarding ceremony will take place on November 3, 2026 in Moscow within the framework of the All-Russian Forum of National Unity, where the best works will also be presented at the exhibition site.
