Pskov Museum staff spoke at a conference in Veliky Novgorod

Employees of the Pskov Museum-Reserve took part in the XII scientific conference “Novgorod and Novgorod Land: Art and Restoration”, which was held from October 14 to 16. About this "MK in Pskov" reported in the press service of the museum.

The program covered the study and preservation of monuments of architecture, monumental painting, icon painting and decorative and applied arts. The central theme was modern restoration methods.

Specialists of the department of storage of monumental paintings Taisiya Kruglova, Irina Melnikova and Tatiana Nikolaeva made two reports. One was dedicated to the image of the Bird in the monumental painting of Pskov, the second - graffiti in the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin of the Snetogorsk monastery with the image of the Pope.

Senior researcher Andrey Shershenevich spoke about the light system in the Cathedral of the Nativity of John the Forerunner of the Ioannovsky monastery. Taisia Kruglova led one of the meetings.
