The play about Konstantin Batyushkov will be put in Cherepovets at the expense of the presidential grant

A non-profit organization in Cherepovets is preparing to release the play “Ba! Batiushkov”. The production will be dedicated to the life of the Vologda poet Konstantin Batyushkov. The director will be the head of the theater studio in the palace of chemists Victoria Sokolov.

The show will be part of the project. It will also include interactive meetings with students. The project is funded by a grant from the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. More than 3.8 million rubles were allocated for these purposes.

The film has already been written, but is still under construction. Rehearsals are on. The actors are pupils of the theater studio and students of the directorial faculty of CSU. The Palace of Chemists is a partner. The first four shows will be free. They will show more than 1600 high school students Cherepovets. The premiere is scheduled for February 2027.
