Tuvan republican special library for the blind and visually impaired celebrated its 40th anniversary

Tuvan republican special library for the blind and visually impaired celebrated its 40th anniversary. The solemn event dedicated to the round date was held in the reading room of the Pushkin National Library.
On the anniversary, the staff of the library, veterans and readers congratulated First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tuva Aylana Bizhik. She emphasized the special social mission of the institution - to create an equal opportunity space and help people with visual impairments to remain in a single cultural and information field.
“Today, the library is not just an institution of culture, but an important space for social support and equal opportunities. You help visually impaired people stay connected to the world of knowledge, culture and information, and provide tools for self-development, education and creative realization. Thanks to your work, the book becomes accessible to everyone who seeks to learn, regardless of physical limitations, said Aylana Bizhik.
Over four decades of work, the library has formed a unique collection of literature in special formats, including publications in relief-dot Braille and audiobooks. In addition to staffing the fund, the institution actively conducts educational, leisure and rehabilitation work, develops partnerships with specialized organizations and creative communities.
The congratulatory message emphasized the team’s ability to build trusting relationships with readers and create an atmosphere of respect and support. The activities of the library are called an important contribution to the development of an inclusive culture of society – an environment where everyone feels needed and heard.
The First Deputy Minister wished the team to master modern digital solutions, expand the range of services and work formats, develop inclusive projects and find new forms of interaction with the audience.
