We have common goals: a gala concert of the Minsk United festival was held in the capital

The solemn meeting and gala concert of the cultural and patriotic festival “Minsk United” for the Day of National Unity were held in the large hall of the “Minskconcert” on September 15. And before their start, you could see an exhibition of achievements of all districts of the capital, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

The concert program consisted of eight episodes. Each included creative performances performed by representatives of labor collectives accompanied by the National Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus.

Artists were citizens from different spheres of activity: law enforcement, industry, transport and communications, construction, housing and communal services, landscaping and landscaping, health, culture, education and science, sports, social protection of the population, trade, catering, household (hotel) services.

Before the concert, the welcoming address of the Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalia Kochanova was read.

Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev noted the importance of the Day of National Unity in the history of sovereign Belarus.

- This is a long-suffering holiday that embodies the thousand-year history of the Belarusian people. People for many centuries have done everything to remain a people, to preserve their culture, language, mentality. Being at the crossroads was worth a lot of effort! Many wanted to use our land for their own purposes, but the people did not allow and preserved their identity and sovereignty. The younger generation must remember that independence is not given for nothing.

Kukharev also noted the great contribution of the people to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the unification of Belarus on September 17, 1939.

- Today we are together, we have common goals. We want people’s unity to accompany the solution of all tasks for the benefit of our Motherland, the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee summed up.

Head of the Department of Culture Ekaterina Luchina noted that since January 2026, the selection of the cultural and patriotic festival “Minsk One” was held in the districts of Minsk, where they identified the brightest performers who will be able to adequately demonstrate their talents in the final of the festival.

- Representatives of various professions participate in the concert. The festival brought them all together. It is no coincidence that we are holding it on the eve of National Unity Day. The result that we see is large-scale and bright, Luchin assured.

One of the participants of the festival is the surgeon of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Surgery Alexander Boyarov.

The atmosphere of the festival is familiar to me, as a doctor is a creative profession. The message of our vocal number with colleagues is simple: we want to show work in medicine, said Boyarov.

Among the artists and teachers are Zoryana Kun and Olga Zagadskaya. They are part of the creative team singing and dancing. Perform the song “Own” from the repertoire of Irina Romanovskaya.

- Perhaps in the future, we will take this beautiful and bright number into our repertoire, if it is needed by our Leninsky district, and will sing more than once, Zagadskaya stressed.
