In Chuvashia, the II Interregional Theater Festival “Volga Premiere” started

In Chuvashia, the II Interregional Theatre Festival “Volga Premiere” was launched, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the outstanding actor, a native of Chuvashia Nikolai Mordvinov.

The festival opened with the premiere of the play “Masquerade” based on the play by Mikhail Lermontov on the stage of the Russian Drama Theatre. The production was implemented with the support of a grant from the head of the republic.

The program of the festival announced performances of theater groups from Moscow, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod and Orsk. The audience will be presented both classical productions and modern dramatic and comedy works.

The head of Chuvashia, Oleg Nikolaev, noted that the festival is becoming an important platform for creative dialogue, uniting artists and spectators from different regions of Russia, and urged residents of the republic to attend theater shows in the autumn period.
