At the construction site for the reconstruction of the Assumption Cathedral of the Kostroma Kremlin, a new stage of work began. The contractor began to bricklay the walls of the temple.
The progress of the project was discussed by the Governor of the Kostroma region Sergey Sitnikov, Metropolitan of Kostroma and Nerecht Ferapont and philanthropist Viktor Tyryshkin. Over the past month, a significant volume of brick was delivered to the facility.
To date, the builders have already completed work on waterproofing the foundation, erected a support wall and a monolithic section connecting the entrance group, the rotunda and the main volume of the temple.
The project, developed by specialists of the Moscow Architectural Institute, involves the creation of an exact copy of the historical building. The Assumption Cathedral will be the second temple of the Kremlin ensemble, restored on a historical site.
