In St. Petersburg will show a small homeland through the eyes of residents of different parts of Russia
On November 3, the All-Russian Youth Art Media Festival “My Small Homeland” will be held in the Northern Capital

On November 3, the All-Russian Youth Art Media Festival “My Malaya Rodina.RF” will be held in the Northern Capital, dedicated to the history and traditions of Russian regions. The program will include art competitions, exhibitions, lectures and master classes dedicated to the Day of National Unity.
The festival “My Small Homeland.RF” grew out of the project “I am proud of my small homeland”, which appeared at the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design in 2022. Over four years, more than a thousand people from more than 40 cities of Russia, Belarus and other CIS countries joined the initiative. During this time, the organizers held more than 20 thematic exhibitions, the press service of the university reported.
The authors tell about their native places, famous countrymen and family traditions through photos, paintings, graphics, stories and videos. Among the presented formats are animation with augmented reality and images created using neural networks.
The head of the project Katerina Tugolukova noted that familiarity with the history of the family and the native land helps to preserve the connection between generations. According to her, it is important to teach children about the life of ancestors, family customs and places with which the history of their loved ones is connected.
This year the program includes three competitions. In the correspondence format, “I am proud of my small homeland” will be held, and at the festival venue students of universities and colleges will take part in the painting competition “Native Motives”. Schoolchildren of St. Petersburg will create collages for the contest “Colors of the native city”. To perform a creative task, participants in face-to-face competitions will be given three hours.
Round table "Heroes of a small homeland", lectures and master classes on the cultural diversity of Russia are also planned. According to the results of the competitions, the jury will select the winners, and the best works are used to produce collectible cards with the names of the authors.
Everyone can attend the festival, regardless of participation in the competition program. You must register in advance, entrance is free.
