In Serpukhov will open anniversary exhibition Vitaly Gubarev
From November 7, the Museum Exhibition Center Serpukhov will host the exhibition of the People’s Artist of Russia Vitaly Petrovich Gubarev “Spaces of the Motherland”.
The exposition is timed to the 90th anniversary of the master - Vitaly Petrovich will celebrate the anniversary on November 12, 2026.
In the halls there are 90 works: linocuts and etchings, in which the artist’s recognizable handwriting manifested itself – the accuracy of the line, the depth of tone, the ability to convey the greatness of the Russian land and the breath of nature.
Vitaly Petrovich Gubarev is one of the largest modern masters of engraving, whose work has entered the cultural heritage of Russia. The main theme of his work is landscapes of Russia. The master owns a wide range of techniques - from etching and linocuts to pastels, gouache, pencil drawing, oil and tempera painting.
A separate page of creativity was the creation of unique diplomas in the technique of color etching for laureates of the public award “Serpukhov Heritage”.
The works of Vitaly Petrovich Gubarev are included in the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery, are stored in the funds of many museums in Russia and the world, as well as in private collections. Serpukhovichi and guests of the city can get acquainted with the work of the master before the completion of the exhibition on December 3.
